Media training
It is now more critical than ever for companies, private and formal institutions, political parties and governmental bodies to be able to articulate their point of view about what they do and why.
For spokespersons today it is essential, to be able to recognize, handle and positively influence a climate of opinion that surrounds their company or institution, a particular problem or issue that they have to deal with, or to respond to concerns and questions asked by the public. Our media training is to explain how the media work and how to work with the media. The objective is to help to understand the media environment, learn to establish credibility, learn how to control the flow of questions and answers and learn to communicate message effectively to their audiences.
- Understand the needs and constraints of the media and how best to work with reporters to develop an interesting and factual story.
- Distinguish the types of media and how they operate.
- Develop strategies to take and hold control of a print or broadcast interview, press conference, impromptu interview and panel discussion.
- Recognize the need to simplify complex information to a form the public can understand and appreciate.
- Apply basic techniques to improve communication when confronting television cameras, tape recorders and sound amplification systems.
Practicing with realistic scenarios and using video-taped interview simulations followed by one-to-one feedback, you will improve your skills for relaxed, effective communications with the media. This will help you also with other speaking assignments.
